Are we alone? ( part one )

Not a superstitious nor paranoid person over issues like this to begin with.

I'm either going to f#*k your mind, or this can act as a friendly "reminder" haha

It's not gonna be a full story... just bits and pieces from the things I've read .

So, here it goes....
............................................
............................................................

1) The room is at the very end of a row. Each room features two backdoors, one leading to the spartan bathroom and another identical door that opens up to a stark-walled backyard with no lighting. After one too many openings of the wrong door and only to be facing creepy blanket of pitch darkness, I would mark it to prevent another inadvertent scare.

It is well known to be favoured by a "resident" who often treats the unsuspecting occupant to a recital of the alphabet past midnight. The sweet child-like voice on the other end of the telephone line would go " Hello, would you like to hear my ABCs? " Even as the half asleep victim grapples with the seemingly innocent offer from a little girl, the recital would begin.

" A,B,C,D........H,I,J,K........." the high cutesy pitch of the voice slides to a disturbing inhumanly low almost animal-like growl.

2) A girl refused to fly to London after the last one gave her such an distasteful experience. With the lights off, she was about to doze off when the television screen came alive on its own accord. The tired girl struggled to locate the stray remote on the bed which she assumed was accidentally pressed on. After a few minutes of futile skimming, she reluctantly turned on the table lights, only to see the remote sitting aloof on the table.

Puzzled, she attributed it to an electrical problem, switched off the television and returned to catch up where she left off. Moments later, the screen buzzed to life again. Irritated, she decided to switch the mains off once and for all. Thus the third occurrence had her jumping out of the bed and room in her night gown. Perhaps there was a logical explanation, but it sure left a bad taste.

3) I've never practice this procedure whenever I stay in a hotel room/whenever I travel.

Do you.....
  • make a point to inform the "occupants" by knocking three times on the door before entering the room with a polite " Excuse me", just so that he/she/they know that you are in transit?
  • followed on doing a quick check of cupboards, toilet and under the bed for human trespassers and who knows what else you may find?
  • toss your bag onto the unused twin bed ( if you're traveling alone) ? It is said that the messier the bed, the less likely we would have uninvited "roommates" .

Now,
Who wants to hear my ABCs?

*Part two coming right up * ;)
